General FAQs

What is NDIS Plan Management?

NDIS Plan Management is a support that helps you manage the financial and administrative aspects of your NDIS plan. A plan manager pays your providers, tracks your budget, and gives you more choice and control over your supports — at no out of pocket cost to you.

How much does plan management cost?

Plan management is funded separately in your NDIS plan under Improved Life Choices. There is no out of pocket cost to you. The NDIS pays SD Case Management directly for this service.

Can I use unregistered providers?

Yes. With a plan manager, you can use both registered and unregistered NDIS providers, giving you much greater flexibility and choice in who delivers your supports compared to self or agency management.

How do I sign up with SD Case Management?

Simply click the Sign Up Online button or call us on 02 9610 8378. Our team will guide you through a quick and easy onboarding process. You will need to have Plan Management included in your NDIS plan.

How do I know if I have plan management included in my NDIS plan?

Plan management falls under the Improved Life Choices sub-category of the Capacity Building Supports category in your NDIS plan. If you are unsure, check your plan details or ask your LAC (Local Area Coordinator) or NDIA representative. For participants in the PACE system, you may need to confirm your plan manager with the NDIA.

How can I get plan management included in my NDIS plan?

If plan management is not included, request it under the Improved Life Choices sub-category during your plan review. Speak with your LAC or NDIA representative. In the PACE system, you must also endorse SD Case Management as your provider by informing the NDIA at your plan review meeting or calling 1800 800 110.

What is PACE?

The PACE system is the NDIS's new platform for managing participant plans and provider engagements. It aims to improve transparency and simplify the management of funding and services. All new participants are automatically set up on PACE, and existing participants move to PACE when they change or renew their plans.
